Entity Resolution
Data teams often wrangle with similarly spelled, non-identical records in a dataset that reference the same real-world entity. For instance, a set of users may be utilizing the name “JP Morgan Chase” in a system, whereas another group reports the same entity as “JPMorgan”. Mapping and resolving these disparate entities to their real-world counterparts is a complex problem.
Detect and Resolve Similar Entities
Entity Resolution check type enables users to detect and resolve these similar entities. Utilizing pairings of substrings, pairing of homophones (phonetic comparisons) and Jacquard similarities (distribution and placement of letters), this check type detects similar spellings above a configurable threshold to help you resolve entity mappings.
