Event Recap: Data Bytes & Brews in Atlanta

A Deep Dive into MLOps and Data Quality

On Aug 28, we gathered in Atlanta for an evening that brought together data professionals and industry leaders for an event that was both informative and engaging. The highlight of the night? A compelling panel discussion on “The State of MLOps: The Critical Role of Data Quality and Management in ML/AI,” followed by some quality networking over cocktails and dinner.

The panel featured heavyweights in the field: Korri Jones (MLOps Principal Program Lead at Chick-fil-A), Sean Otto (Sr Director of Data Science and Analytics at The AES Corporation), Vishakha Gupta (Founder & CEO of ApertureData), and our own Gorkem Sevinc (Founder & CEO of Qualytics). Together, they dissected the current state of MLOps and drilled into why data quality is a non-negotiable for any organization looking to scale its AI/ML initiatives.

The panel made it abundantly clear that without a strong data governance foundation, ML and AI efforts are destined to derive incorrect insights. They discussed the growing need for seamless data management and how enterprises can no longer afford to overlook the strategic value of robust data quality while bridging the efforts between data and business teams.

Post-panel, attendees continued the conversation over drinks and dinner, networking with peers and exchanging ideas on the best ways to enhance data practices in their respective companies. It was a night of solid tech talk, valuable connections, and actionable insights on the future of data and AI.

Thanks to everyone who came out and contributed to the discussion. We’re excited to keep the conversation going and look forward to seeing you at the next Data Bytes & Brews event. Keep an eye out for details!
